InDrive, the global mobility platform, has appointed Muhammad Awais Saeed as the Country Lead for inDrive Pakistan. This new leadership appointment marks a significant step in inDrive’s efforts to strengthen its presence and expand its business operations in Pakistan. Awais Saeed will oversee all business verticals, driving growth and ensuring a robust local presence for the platform. His responsibilities also include managing government and public relations, forging strategic partnerships, and leading the inVision initiatives aimed at enhancing customer and driver satisfaction.

Awais Saeed brings over ten years of experience in building and leading startups, making him an ideal fit for this role. He has a proven track record in ride-hailing, e-commerce, and mass transit, which aligns with inDrive’s goals of reshaping the mobility landscape in Pakistan. As Country Lead, Awais will play a pivotal role in refining inDrive’s products and services to meet the diverse needs of Pakistani consumers. His experience in go-to-market strategy and operational management will also be instrumental in accelerating the company’s growth and ensuring ongoing improvements in both rider and driver experiences.

The appointment of Awais Saeed comes at a critical juncture for inDrive as the company looks to further accelerate its expansion in the Pakistan market. With competition intensifying in the ride-hailing space, inDrive is focused on strengthening its local portfolio and fostering collaborations with key stakeholders. Awais’s leadership is expected to fuel the company’s ambitious growth strategy, which is focused on scaling operations while enhancing the overall user experience for both passengers and drivers.

Egor Smetanin, Senior VP of the Ride-hailing Department at inDrive, expressed his excitement over Awais’s appointment, noting his extensive market knowledge and ability to seamlessly connect central and regional teams. Smetanin emphasized that Awais’s leadership would play a critical role in aligning inDrive’s local operations with global standards, ultimately helping the company achieve continued success in Pakistan. “Awais’s profound market insights and leadership capabilities are invaluable in driving our growth strategy across Pakistan,” Smetanin said.

Awais Saeed himself expressed his enthusiasm about his new role, stating that he is excited to join inDrive and contribute to the company’s vision of revolutionizing the ride-hailing industry in Pakistan. “I look forward to working with our teams and partners to deliver a fantastic experience to all our users, which will surely define the future of ride-hailing in the region,” he said.

Before joining inDrive, Awais held several key leadership positions, including Head of Supply & Operations for Yango Pakistan. He also played significant roles at Careem and Swvl, where he was instrumental in launching new services and products and leading strategic and operational initiatives. Awais holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Sciences from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).

inDrive’s commitment to expanding its footprint in Pakistan is reflected in this strategic leadership appointment. With Awais Saeed at the helm, the company is poised to enhance its operations and strengthen its position in the competitive ride-hailing sector. His expertise and leadership will be crucial in driving inDrive’s mission of offering a superior and customer-centric mobility experience across the country.
