At the AI for Her Pavilion during Indus AI Week, keynote speaker Zeynep Yildiz emphasized that technology’s true value lies in its accessibility. Speaking to an audience of industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, she highlighted that innovation should not be measured solely by speed, sophistication, or technical complexity, but by the number of people it empowers. Yildiz underscored that inclusive innovation ensures equitable access to technological advancements and encourages participation from all segments of society.

The session focused on practical approaches to making artificial intelligence more inclusive, particularly for women in technology. Yildiz highlighted initiatives that bridge gaps in representation, education, and industry participation, stressing that accessible technology can create opportunities for communities that are often overlooked. Her remarks resonated with the broader theme of Indus AI Week, which is fostering dialogue on how Pakistan can strengthen its AI ecosystem while prioritizing equitable growth.

Officials from Pakistan Software Export Board and Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, including Dr. Henna Karamat Durrani, highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting programs that emphasize inclusivity in AI development. The AI for Her Pavilion is part of wider efforts to create a digitally empowered workforce, ensuring that emerging technologies contribute to national progress and social impact. The pavilion’s initiatives provide training, mentorship, and networking opportunities for women innovators, showcasing models that other sectors can emulate to foster broader participation in technology.

Zeynep Yildiz concluded by reminding the audience that technological progress is most meaningful when it leaves no one behind. She encouraged stakeholders to consider inclusivity as a core metric of success in AI and technology initiatives. The AI for Her Pavilion continues to serve as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and inspiration, helping Pakistan’s tech ecosystem develop solutions that are not only innovative but also accessible and empowering for all.
