Microsoft Claims to Have Better Products than Apple

After Apple’s release of Mavericks OS X as a free upgrade and the announcement that it will bundle its iWork productivity suite for free with Mac computers, Microsoft soon countered by claiming that its Microsoft Office suite is superior and its Surface tablets are better than the new iPad Air. 

 

Pinterest Signs Deal with Getty Images

Pinterest signed a new deal with Getty Images to provide further detailed information on the photos users pin on the website. Pinterest raised an additional $225 million in funding, bring the company’s valuation near $4 billion.Whenever a user pins a Getty image that’s already out there on the web, the metadata that Getty has on file for that image — including the description, photographer and date taken — will appear alongside that photo on the user’s pin board.

 

LinkedIn’s new Intro Feature

LinkedIn’s new Intro functionality, launched earlier this week by CEO Jeff Weiner is although good for improving the networking services more friendly on mobiles but at the same time security analysts consider it a security threat as it might attract more hackers. 

 

Sony PS4 Day-One Patch

Sony just announced the details of a day-one patch that will add all sorts of functionality to the system, and hopefully it will go a little smoother than the Wii U’s infamous startup patch. It will be including access to most of the system’s online features, like online multiplayer, broadcasting, voice chat, facial recognition, social integration, and vita streaming.
