Huawei has unveiled its highly anticipated Mate XT, the world’s first dual-hinged, triple-screen foldable phone. However, the device comes with a hefty price tag, starting at 19,999 yuan (approximately $2,809) for the 256GB model in China.

The Mate XT features an innovative inverse dual-hinge design, allowing it to fold into a “Z” shape and be used in various configurations. The OLED display measures 6.4-inches when collapsed and expands to 10.2-inches when fully unfolded. It also offers a smaller 7.9-inch configuration for intermediate use.

The device is equipped with a powerful 5,600mAh battery and supports fast charging options. It also boasts a triple camera setup on the rear and an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

While Huawei has not confirmed availability outside of China, the Mate XT’s high price tag suggests that it may be primarily targeted towards the Chinese market.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995.
