Higher Education Commission Pakistan, in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, has launched a National Short Video Contest for Pakistani students to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The contest encourages undergraduate and master’s students to bring stories of friendship, culture, and shared futures to life in videos no longer than three minutes. Students are invited to express their creativity while reflecting on the enduring ties between the two nations.

Themed “China-Pakistan Friendship – Passed on from Generation to Generation,” the competition invites participants to explore topics including the 75 years of China-Pakistan friendship, personal stories and experiences related to Chinese culture, and youth-led initiatives fostering cooperation for a shared future. The initiative emphasizes cross-cultural understanding and aims to provide a platform for young voices to highlight the strength of bilateral relations through innovative digital storytelling.

Participation is open to students currently enrolled in undergraduate or master’s programs at Pakistani universities, and submissions must be coordinated through their respective institution’s Student Affairs Office or Directorate. The deadline for entries is June 30, 2026. Winners will be recognized with certificates and cash prizes distributed among first, second, and third place entries, rewarding creative and impactful storytelling.

The collaboration between HEC and the Embassy of China highlights the commitment to nurturing creative talent and promoting youth engagement in cultural diplomacy. By providing students an opportunity to showcase their skills in video production and storytelling, the contest encourages innovative thinking while celebrating the long-standing partnership between Pakistan and China. For more details and registration, students are encouraged to contact their university administration or visit the official HEC channels.
