HBL and Qatar Airways Partners together to introduce a new credit Card for frequent travellers

The idea of using frequent flier miles to get an upgrade on your flight, to get access to a specific lounge on an airport, and to utilize these miles to obtain a ticket for a flight are all regular practices, one that almost every frequent flier has at some point or another reaped its benefits. So this is good news for all frequent fliers. Qatar airways and HBL has come together to provide an opportunity to frequent fliers to obtain more benefits and services from their collected miles if using this new credit card.

This card was revealed on 27th September 2018 in Mohatta Palace, Karachi at an event which was attended by a number of high ranking officials on both sides and some select few customers from both parties as well. These high ranking officials included Sultan Ali Allana Chairman, HBL, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, Muhammad Aurangzeb President & CEO, HBL, Jacob Garlan Miller Vice President CRM and Customer Loyalty, Qatar Airways and Ish Jalal Vice President Commercial – Middle East & Pakistan, Qatar Airways.

So the basic conversion rate is 1Qmile for local currency spending of Rs. 100 and with this it is necessary to mention these cards are available in Platinum and Gold.

According to one source there are numerous benefits of getting this new credit card such as annual redemption discount on accumulating Qmiles, fast track privilege Club membership tier upgrade, enjoy free access to CIP airport lounges across Pakistan for international flights, exciting dining and lifestyle discounts at 150+ partners locally and globally, and more

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said:

The HBL Qatar Airways credit card is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of Pakistan’s rapidly growing frequent flyer community and will provide cardholders with a host of benefits to make travel even more rewarding. We look forward to a mutually rewarding partnership with HBL, and to continuing to strengthen our commitment to travellers in Pakistan.”

President and CEO HBL, Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, spoke about the significance of this launch at the event, and said,” we are delighted to be partnering with Qatar Airways to launch a product that fits well with the travel needs of our clients and offers them a range of world-class services. sThis strategic relationship will further our goal of providing superior financial solutions to our customers.”

At this event all those in attendance were asked to take part in a lucky draw and 3 lucky couples won a return business class ticket to any destination of their choice through Qatar Airways.
