Google has unveiled a short teaser for its upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold, offering the first official look at the device just a week before its scheduled August 20 launch. While the smartphone world has grown accustomed to extensive leaks that often dampen the surprise of major announcements, this teaser strategically builds anticipation for one of Google’s most anticipated releases of the year. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be a highlight of the event, drawing attention for its high-end specifications and premium design.

The 30-second teaser, shared on X, offers two notable views of the foldable. The first is a quick glimpse of the device’s main screen when unfolded. Google notes that the display shown is simulated, and from this perspective, it closely resembles the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, maintaining a familiar interior layout. Later in the clip, the camera lingers on the phone’s back panel at a slight angle, revealing what is believed to be the Moonstone color variant. The rear design, including the distinctive camera bar, also remains consistent with the previous generation, a choice that maintains brand identity but may divide opinion among users.

Notably, the teaser avoids drawing attention to the device’s thickness. This omission aligns with industry speculation that while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will boast standout features such as category-first IP68 water resistance, Qi2 wireless charging support, high-quality cameras, and a solid battery capacity, it will not match the slim profile of rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The added bulk could be a point of consideration for consumers weighing design ergonomics against technical capabilities.

The decision between opting for a slimmer, more portable foldable or one that offers a more comprehensive feature set may define the competition in this segment. Google appears to be positioning the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as a powerhouse for those prioritizing performance and durability over minimal weight and size. With the official reveal approaching, the teaser succeeds in sparking interest without giving away too much, ensuring that anticipation remains high for Google’s foldable flagship.
