Google has introduced its new Gemini Spark AI agent in Pakistan as part of a broader expansion across the Asia Pacific region, making the service available to Google AI Ultra subscribers. The cloud based AI tool is designed to automate routine digital tasks while operating in the background, allowing users to delegate repetitive work after providing instructions. According to Google, Gemini Spark can continue processing assigned tasks even when a user’s laptop is closed or a mobile device is locked, representing a shift from traditional AI assistants that generally require continuous user interaction. The launch brings advanced AI powered automation capabilities to subscribers in Pakistan while expanding access to Google’s latest productivity tools.
Gemini Spark is powered by Google’s cloud infrastructure and runs on the Gemini 3.6 Flash AI model. The service connects directly with Google Workspace applications including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets without requiring additional configuration. Through this integration, users can automate a variety of daily workflows across Google’s productivity ecosystem. Google said the AI agent can organize customer inquiries, process vendor invoices, manage schedules, collect travel information, and organize documents to reduce the amount of time spent on repetitive administrative work. The company stated that the objective is to help users focus on higher value activities by allowing routine digital processes to be handled automatically. One of the platform’s travel related capabilities allows Gemini Spark to read flight and hotel confirmation emails in Gmail, extract important travel details, transfer the information into Google Sheets, search for local events at the destination, and automatically add suitable activities to available time slots in Google Calendar.
The AI agent also includes features designed for event planning, business productivity, and personal finance management. It can identify RSVP responses from Gmail, organize dietary requirements into structured tables, and prepare summary emails for vendors that users can review before sending. For financial management, Gemini Spark is able to analyze digital invoices, identify subscription price increases, notify users when free trial periods are about to expire, and prepare cancellation emails for subscriptions if requested. Businesses can also use the platform to review incoming customer emails, draft responses, and recommend services or pricing information based on previous conversations. Google emphasized that while the AI agent can generate recommendations and prepare responses, users remain responsible for reviewing and approving emails before they are sent. The company has also introduced a personalized writing feature that allows Gemini Spark to analyze a user’s previous outgoing emails to understand their writing style and apply those preferences when drafting future communications for greater consistency.
Google stated that users remain in control of Gemini Spark throughout its operation by deciding whether to enable the AI agent and selecting which Google applications it can access. The system also requests user permission before carrying out important actions such as sending emails or making purchases, providing an additional layer of user control over automated processes. At present, Gemini Spark is available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in Pakistan and other Asia Pacific markets. Google has also confirmed that support for Google AI Pro subscribers will be introduced over the coming weeks, expanding availability of the new AI powered automation features to a broader group of users. By combining cloud based AI processing with direct integration across Google Workspace services, Gemini Spark introduces additional automation capabilities designed to support productivity, communication, scheduling, document management, and digital task organization for individual users and businesses.
