Google Doodle: Celebrating Waheed Murad

Pakistani actor Waheed Murad, is honoured with a Google Doodle on his 81st birthday. Murad is a well-renowned film actor, director and script writer, who is said to have contributed a great deal to the south asian film and entertainment industry. He was popularly known as the Chocolate Hero.

Some of his prominent work includes Naseeb Apna Apna, Heer aur Pathar and Armaan among more.

He was born in Sialkot on 2nd October 1938 and passed away in Karachi, on November 23, 1983.

The Google Doodle that is up today shows exactly how he is fondly remembered, the Chocolate Hero, known for his warmth, romantic roles, and a dashing young man. Depicting him how the world remembers him, a romantic, handsome young man, Waheed Murad’s doodle has him surrounded by cute hearts. It even gives a complete in-depth view into his life.
