GBG Peshawar Brings Womenwill Pilot Event To Pakistan

Google Business Group – Peshawar is a community group that has been working since 2014, aiming towards the synergism of ideas, skills and creativity of various professionals for the optimal use of Google products.

Ranked among the top ten groups of the world (for the year 2016), GBG Peshawar – Pakistan has been selected to run the pilot program of Womenwill apart from four other countries. GBG Peshawar has previously partnered with the local government and the private sector to build a community of professionals and support local entrepreneurs through workshops and speaker sessions. BaseCamp Peshawar, a co –working space is an active community partner supportive of GBG Peshawar’s efforts.

Womenwill is an initiative by Google to address gender gaps in economic opportunity by offering up-skilling program for women everywhere through free online learning platforms and in-person trainings – for them to grow and succeed.

GBG Peshawar is the only one in Pakistan to be hosting this pilot event, making it one of the five chapters globally to be hosting this event with other countries including Italy, Mexico, Peru, and Czech Republic.

IDG proudly announces that it is the Knowledge & Technology Media Partner for the event. The Womenwill pilot event for Pakistan will take place on the 9th of September 2017 at BaseCamp, Peshawar from 3:30pm onwards and will be hosting about 50 people in attendance; including tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and young professionals.

According to GBG Peshawar,

“This Womenwill by GBG Leadership training aims to raise awareness about gender inequality by helping women business owners and professionals advocate for themselves so they can achieve success in their own business.”
