After more than six years at the head of Foodpanda Pakistan, Nauman Sikandar Mirza has decided to step down as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD).

He announced the news on LinkedIn, writing:, “I have decided to move on from my current role as CEO and MD for foodpanda Pakistan. I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I believe it’s the right time for me to make this decision and pursue other passions.”

Nauman stated that he will be leaving the meal delivery business on February 28, 2022.

Nauman wrote:

My last day at foodpanda Pakistan will be 28 February 2022. However, I will always be cheering from the sidelines as foodpanda will continue to hold a special place in my heart and I will always remain an avid user. We have a very strong leadership team in place who will keep the engine running – an announcement for a new leader will Come when you’re ready. Foodpanda in Pakistan will continue to expand at an unparalleled rate and achieve even bigger things in the future, thanks to the incredible staff in Pakistan and worldwide, as well as Delivery Hero’s excellent market positioning.

Foodpanda, which began operations in 2013, employs roughly 50,000 riders who carry meals from 20,000 restaurants and home cooks in 50 cities.

With its headquarters in Singapore, the food delivery app serves as Delivery Hero’s flagship brand throughout Asia. Outside of China, it is Asia’s largest food and grocery delivery network, with operations in 12 markets throughout the continent.
