Karachi-based fintech company, Swich, has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the prestigious Pakistan Innovation Hub Award, securing a generous grant of PKR 20 million under the Ministry of Planning.

At the Pakistan Innovation Hub, Swich showcased its groundbreaking solution aimed at creating a digital Pakistan, fostering financial inclusion, and addressing critical macroeconomic challenges in the nation.

The proposal received overwhelming praise, leading to Swich’s selection as the highest grant winner.

This significant accomplishment highlights Swich’s unwavering commitment to revolutionizing digital payments in Pakistan, while also underlining the government’s profound trust in the company’s vision.

Co-founder of Swich, Shah Aun Hussain, expressed his enthusiasm, stating,

“Swich is the first application in Pakistan that provides major financial services empowering retailers under a single platform. We already have 1,000+ registered retailers with a monthly transaction value exceeding PKR 1 billion, which serves as a strong product market fit. With the support of relevant stakeholders, we aim to enhance and scale this platform across Pakistan. Our win at Pakistan Innovation Hub is a validation that the government believes Swich can make a difference in Pakistan, giving us the opportunity to digitize the country’s economy through the retail segment.”

Speaking at the event, Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Mr. Ahsen Iqbal, commented,

“Pakistan Innovation Hub is a platform for all entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and receive government support in the form of grants, serving as seed money to add value to the country. This initiative will bring promising companies of the future to the forefront, empowering a prosperous Pakistan in line with the Prime Minister’s vision 2025.”
