Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Khawaja is set to speak at the PakLaunch UNConference 2026, taking place on April 29 and 30 at Serena Hotel in Islamabad. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, confirming the minister’s participation in one of Pakistan’s most focused gatherings of technology and investment leadership.

The PakLaunch UNConference is a premier closed-door event designed to bring together visionary founders, global investors, regulators, and ecosystem leaders who are actively shaping the future of venture capital, innovation, and entrepreneurship across emerging markets. Unlike conventional conferences, the unconference format is structured around participant-driven discussions and open dialogue, creating an environment where substantive conversations can take place between the people who are actually building, funding, and regulating Pakistan’s technology and startup landscape rather than those simply observing it from the sidelines.

Minister Shaza Khawaja’s presence at the event carries significance given the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication’s central role in shaping Pakistan’s digital economy agenda, including initiatives around broadband expansion, startup support frameworks, technology exports, and digital infrastructure development. Her participation signals a continued effort by the ministry to engage directly with Pakistan’s entrepreneurial and investment community at a time when the country is working to position itself more competitively within the broader emerging market technology ecosystem. The two-day gathering at Serena Hotel Islamabad is expected to facilitate high-value connections between domestic founders and the international investor community, with discussions likely to span topics from regulatory frameworks and funding access to innovation policy and cross-border collaboration.
