Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja Discusses Digital Collaboration With FCDO Advisor

Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, met with the Innovation & Technical Advisor from FCDO to discuss potential avenues for collaboration aimed at advancing Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda. The meeting focused on exploring strategic partnerships to enhance public service innovation, strengthen digital skills development, and support the country’s ongoing technology initiatives. Both parties emphasized the importance of collaboration in building capacity and delivering efficient digital services to citizens.

During the discussions, Minister Khawaja highlighted the progress Pakistan has made in adopting digital solutions across government services and the private sector. She noted that leveraging expertise and innovation from international partners such as FCDO could accelerate the implementation of cutting-edge digital platforms and public service models. The minister also underlined the significance of targeted skill-building programs to equip youth and professionals with competencies required for a digitally-driven economy.

The FCDO Innovation & Technical Advisor shared insights on international best practices in digital governance and technology adoption, focusing on scalable models for public service delivery. Both sides discussed opportunities for joint initiatives in areas including e-governance, data-driven decision-making, citizen-centric applications, and advanced training programs to enhance technical skills across the government workforce. These discussions are expected to inform the design and implementation of pilot projects in key sectors.
