Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) encountered technical issues with its Integrated Registration and Information System (IRIS) on Saturday, preventing taxpayers from filing their income tax returns.
The FBR has advised taxpayers to avoid using the Maloomat portal for verifying tax deductions and instead utilize the IRIS tax returns portal. This portal provides all necessary information regarding tax deductions.
The deadline for filing income tax returns remains September 30th, 2024, and there will be no extension. Taxpayers are urged to file their returns before the deadline to avoid penalties.
