Faysal Bank Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks, has reaffirmed its dedication to diversity and inclusion by partnering once again with Special Olympics Pakistan as the Title Sponsor of the 2nd Faysal Bank SOP Unified Marathon Lahore 2026. Scheduled for February 1, 2026, at DHA Phase 9, Prism Block A in Lahore, the marathon builds on a nearly decade-long collaboration between Faysal Bank and Special Olympics in Karachi and follows the successful launch of the Lahore edition in 2025. By continuing its title sponsorship, Faysal Bank emphasizes its commitment to promoting equal participation, dignity, and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The SOP Unified Marathon has become one of the country’s most influential platforms for inclusion, bringing together Special Olympics athletes, professionals, families, corporate leaders, and citizens to participate side by side in a celebration of ability and unity. The event sends a powerful message that progress is achieved when all members of society are actively included, allowing differently abled individuals to engage on equal footing with the wider community. Participants can run, walk, or use wheelchairs, creating an environment that fosters empathy, collaboration, and shared accomplishment.

Faysal Bank’s support for the marathon aligns closely with its Islamic corporate value of Care, which guides the bank’s approach to responsible banking, community engagement, and its broader Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion agenda. By championing initiatives like the Unified Marathon, the bank works to break social barriers and promote a more inclusive Pakistan. The partnership illustrates how private sector institutions can integrate social responsibility with business principles, supporting initiatives that contribute to societal development while fostering awareness and understanding for marginalized groups.

The 2nd Faysal Bank SOP Unified Marathon Lahore 2026 is expected to attract significant participation from across Lahore, with Special Olympics athletes leading the effort alongside corporate professionals, senior leadership from Faysal Bank, supporters, and public figures. The event offers an opportunity for citizens to actively engage in a cause that emphasizes inclusion and shared achievement, highlighting the positive impact of sustained partnerships between corporate organizations and social initiatives. Through initiatives such as this marathon, Faysal Bank continues to advance inclusion, ensuring that social and economic progress is accessible, meaningful, and shared by all members of society.
