A bizarre incident unfolded in Dublin on Halloween night as thousands of people gathered for a non-existent event, thanks to a misleading online advertisement.

A website called My Spirit Halloween promoted a Macnas Halloween Parade, promising a costume party in Dublin city center. However, the event was a hoax, leaving thousands of people disappointed and causing significant traffic disruptions.

The incident sparked confusion and frustration among those who had gathered in anticipation of the parade. Gardaí (Irish police) were called in to manage the crowds and ensure public safety.

The incident highlights the potential dangers of misinformation spread online, particularly during major events. It serves as a reminder to verify information from reliable sources and to exercise caution before making plans based on online advertisements.
