Idea Croron Ka is the first Pakistani TV reality business show which aims to provide entrepreneurs with a platform where they can present their ideas to business professionals, tycoons, and investors who will then analyze their ideas. These professionals from the business world will then help these new entrepreneurs turn their dreams into a reality. Nabeel Qadeer, best known for his work in promoting Entrepreneurship in Pakistan through PITB’s platform, said “Pakistani youth needs to see relatable stories of young Entrepreneurs. It is these entrepreneurs who will transform Pakistan and television is the best medium to bring them into limelight,” about the show when it was announced.

The show is about to air its third season consisting of six episodes. It was recently announced that Facebook has partnered with this show to shed light on the ideas of and efforts made by six of the most promising Facebook community group leaders. Each of the six episodes will feature one community leader each and they will be given the opportunity to present their ideas and vision for their respective communities on national television. All six of them will also receive a grant of maximum USD$20,000 to bring their respective ideas to life.

Here are some details about each of the six featured community group leaders and their background:

1. Binish Umair: she is the founder of Karachi School Guide. She created a group on Facebook which now has 92K+ members now. The aim for this group was to provide a platform to connect parents, teachers, educators, and students with each other to exchange information related to education and activities to aid in the development of children in Pakistan.

2. Asma Omer: she is the co-creator of Marham, a platform which aims to provide quick medical help to those who need it and solve their problems with regards to identifying the correct doctor, sharing ways to access the best doctors as quickly as possible like their numbers or clinic addresses, and other medical help related problems. This group has 100K+ members as of now.

3. Saba Mohsin Shaikh: she is the creator of Karachi Chefs at Home (KCH) which has 135K+ members. KCH is an all-girls group which aims to connect women from all over Karachi and the country who share a love for food and cooking. This platform allows the women to share their favourite recipes which have been complied into 3 volumes of the Tasty Treasure series.

4. Kanwal Ahmed: she is the founder of the Soul Sisters Pakistan group which has 54K+ members. This group was made to provide Pakistani women with an online support system where they can share their problems, get advice, and be appreciated for all they have accomplished. This group is a safe haven for thousands of women where they can vent and share experiences or seek help as needed. This group also now has a blog where stories of successful, hardworking, and accomplished women are shared periodically.

5. Rabia Aziz-Rizvi: she is the one who created a group called Special Needs Pakistan aimed to create a network and a platform for parents, siblings, families, friends, caretakers and all those who have someone in their lives who need extra care and attention. This community has grown to the size of 6K+ members.

6. Nadia Patel Gangjee: she is the one who founded a group called Sheops, the first Pakistani online marketplace for women only which helps women entrepreneurs and women-oriented businesses to develop their ideas and to “scale their business leverage technology.” Sheops has strength of 100K+ women.

Two of these six women, Kanwal Ahmed and Nadia Patel Gangjee, have also been awarded the Facebook Community Leadership Program fellowship which is a first of its kind venture on its own. This program will provide its members with training, mentorship, and guidance from Facebook.

This is a brilliant initiative and if this goes well as it is hoped by many this show might be as famous as the Shark Tank aired in the West.

Idea Croron Ka is aired on Neo TV every Sunday at 7.00 PM.
