Enabling A Makers Society – WeMakers

WeMakers is an evangelist attempt to bring out the ‘maker’ in every child, they are working on teaching children STEAM (Science, technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) based education incorporated with Active Career Counseling on a self-learning physical platform.

They are currently incubated at the Nest I/O as part of the UK-aid Ilm Ideas 2 ED-Tech Cohort and are the youngest individuals to ever be back by Ilm Ideas 2. WeMakers started off with 5 students working in a living room to teaching over 120 students in 3 different places.

For the past 12 months now in order to bring the maker culture in to the society, WeMakers has approached many people and institutions. They recently also conducted workshop for developing artificial intelligence games at the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Summer Camp 2018 at the Lincoln Corners in Liaquat Memorial Library and Pakistan American Cultural Center that was organized by the US Consulate General in Karachi.

Furthermore, WeMakers is also working on their subscription box called The Tinker Box that is to serve as a weekly supply of creative scientific and engineering projects. Registrations for the box are open for anyone who is interested.
