E-Turbo Motors is making significant progress in Pakistan’s burgeoning electric vehicle (EV) market by launching affordable electric bikes. CEO Sheikh Osama Nadeem shared that these bikes are designed to deliver a safe, smooth, and eco-friendly riding experience, addressing the growing demand for sustainable transportation options.

With an investment of approximately Rs. 500 million, E-Turbo Motors has established an assembly plant capable of producing up to 10,000 electric bikes annually. The company has also secured a manufacturing license from the Engineering Development Board (EDB), marking a crucial step in its efforts to solidify its position in the EV sector.

The official launch of E-Turbo’s electric bikes is set for mid-October 2024. To date, the company has sold over 200 units, receiving positive feedback from customers. Nadeem highlighted that one of the key selling points of their bikes is speed; the top model can reach speeds of 120 km/h, making it the fastest electric bike in Pakistan. The basic variant offers a maximum speed of 75 km/h, and the bikes can travel between 100 km and 300 km on a single charge, depending on the model.

Powered by a lithium-ion LiFePO4 battery, E-Turbo’s electric bikes provide a higher range and faster charging times. The bikes feature an efficient motor system supported by a Battery Management System (BMS), which optimizes energy consumption. Their lightweight design enhances overall performance and energy efficiency.

Cost-effectiveness is another significant advantage of E-Turbo Motors’ electric bikes. Although the initial price is competitive with petrol-powered alternatives, electric bikes promise long-term savings on fuel and maintenance. Unlike traditional motorcycles, electric vehicles require less frequent maintenance, such as battery checks and tire services, thereby eliminating the need for oil changes and reducing overall upkeep costs.

Looking to the future, E-Turbo Motors plans to introduce more advanced models, including electric scooters and three-wheelers. The company is also working to expand its distribution network across Pakistan and is considering the export of its electric bikes to international markets, responding to the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions.

To further accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Pakistan, Nadeem called on the government to implement tax reductions and subsidies while investing in charging infrastructure. He believes that such initiatives would significantly foster the growth of the electric vehicle industry in the country.
