PTCL signs MoU with WWF for Green Office Program

PTCL has signed memorandum of understanding with World Wildlife Fund for the implementation of Green Office Program to monitor and reduce its carbon footprint while working with WWF. This mutual collaboration will help in developing green organizational practices. PTCL will receive official certification of a ‘Green Office’ once this project is completed. 

 

E-government Replication System Installed in Six Ministries

The government of Pakistan has deployed e-government replication system in six ministries including the Prime Minister Officer, National Assembly Secretariat, Finance and MoIT. To effectively managing the e-office suit, central figures from 27 ministries have received specialized training and further ministries will be upgraded in the near future. Minister for Information and Technology, Anusha Rahman, has asked the respective authorities to finalize the implementation within the given time. 

 

Facebook’s Ad Network 

Facebook is launching its own ad network to compete with popular ad networks online. Using its own ad network, Facebook will be able to sell ads by targeting the right audience based on Facebook database which is categorized using profiles, likes and related interests. The company is likely to publicly announce the launching date on F8 developers’ conference this year.
