Muscat will host the 34th edition of the Global Technology Exhibition, COMEX 2025, starting on 8 September at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The four-day event is being organised by the Arab House for Data Analysis in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and will be held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. As one of the region’s most prominent annual technology events, COMEX has become an important platform for showcasing global innovations while also highlighting Oman’s national projects that support its vision of building a sustainable digital economy.

The exhibition is set to attract international, regional, and local participants, including leading companies, entrepreneurs, innovators, and technology enthusiasts. Attendees will engage in knowledge exchange and present solutions that align with Oman’s strategy of positioning itself as a regional hub for digital innovation. Areas of focus at COMEX 2025 will include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, digital transformation, and smart solutions designed to meet the needs of governments, businesses, and communities. This combination of international expertise and local ambition reinforces the role of COMEX as both a showcase for the latest advancements and a driver of collaborative partnerships.

Several dedicated sections will structure the exhibition, each spotlighting a different area of growth. Among these are the E-Government Pavilion, which highlights the digitalisation of public services, and the Business Pavilion, where enterprises present solutions that enhance competitiveness in evolving markets. The Tech Startups Pavilion will serve as a platform for young companies to showcase innovation and attract investors, while the Banking and FinTech Pavilion will explore digital financial services. Other key areas include the Electronic Sports and Gaming Section, reflecting the growing importance of the gaming industry, and the International Delegations Pavilion, which brings together stakeholders from across the globe to encourage cross-border cooperation in technology development.

In addition to the exhibition space, COMEX 2025 will feature a range of accompanying activities that add depth to the event. These include the COMEX Awards, which recognise achievements across various digital sectors, the COMEX Summit with high-level discussions on future trends, and specialised workshops aimed at professional skill development. A High-Level Council will convene policymakers and executives, while interactive experiences will allow visitors to engage with emerging technologies firsthand. The e-gaming competitions and the COMEX Hackathon are expected to attract strong participation, offering both entertainment and opportunities for young talent to demonstrate creativity in digital problem-solving.

COMEX 2025 holds particular significance for investors and industry leaders seeking to explore opportunities in Oman’s technology sector. By facilitating connections between startups, established enterprises, and international partners, the exhibition strengthens collaboration and opens pathways for future projects that align with the country’s digital transformation agenda. With its diverse program and strong global participation, COMEX continues to represent a central meeting point for those shaping the future of technology and digital economies in the region.
