Code School @codeschool.pk today formalised a partnership with Punjab Government Education department through a memorandum of understanding signed in the presence of the honourable Minister for Education @rana.sikandarh. The one-page introduction to the agreement was followed by a ceremonial signing in which Code School CEO @sadafrehman and the Director of @nawazsharifcenterofexcellence completed the formalities. Representatives from both sides and invited guests including @minahil.h attended the event, marking a coordinated effort to introduce structured coding literacy initiatives across Punjab’s public education system.

Under the terms of the agreement, Code School will work with Punjab Government Education department to design and deploy age-appropriate coding modules, provide teacher training, and support pilot implementations in selected schools. The collaboration aims to make basic programming concepts accessible to students at multiple grade levels while equipping classroom teachers with curriculum resources and professional development. Officials described the memorandum as a framework to guide joint activities such as curriculum co-development, capacity building for educators, and the use of blended learning tools that combine online resources with in-class instruction. Code School’s platform and instructional approach will be integrated into pilot phases to assess outcomes and refine the programme before wider rollout.

Beyond classroom instruction, the partnership outlines efforts to create inclusive access to digital learning materials and hands-on activities that encourage problem solving and computational thinking. The MOU sets out mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation so both parties can track student engagement and learning progress. By linking an education department that oversees thousands of schools with a specialised coding literacy provider, the agreement aims to build a foundation for sustained skills development that complements existing curricula. Stakeholders expect that early pilots will inform broader policy-level decisions about how coding and digital skills training can be mainstreamed in public schooling across Punjab.

Participants at the signing highlighted practical next steps including teacher workshops, resource distribution, and pilot timelines that will be announced jointly by Code School and Punjab Government Education department. While the MOU creates a formal collaboration platform, both organisations signalled a focus on measurable classroom outcomes and ongoing support rather than a one-off initiative. The agreement represents a move to broaden access to digital skills for young learners and to support schools with tools and training that make coding literacy a part of everyday learning in Punjab.
