A delegation of probationary officers from the 54th Common Training Programme at the Civil Services Academy visited the Suthra Punjab Agency headquarters in Rawalpindi to study district level governance and public service delivery. The delegation was welcomed by Suthra Punjab Agency Managing Director and Rawalpindi Waste Management Company Chief Executive Officer Rana Sajid Safdar.
Senior Manager Operations Dr. Hamid Iqbal briefed the officers on the agency’s organizational structure, operational strategy, sanitation systems, waste management processes, field operations, manpower, machinery, public facilitation measures and ongoing projects under the Punjab government’s Suthra Punjab Programme. He said the agency continues working to improve sanitation standards across Rawalpindi Division through modern waste management practices, efficient service delivery, and environmentally conscious operational approaches.
The delegation later visited the agency’s central control room, where Senior Manager MIS Ahsan Azmat Malik gave a detailed presentation on the agency’s digital monitoring system. The presentation covered biometric attendance tracking, GPS based vehicle monitoring, real time oversight of field operations, the agency’s complaint management system, and how the organization uses collected data to support operational decision making across its sanitation network.
The probationary officers praised the agency’s use of technology, its transparent monitoring approach, and its integrated sanitation management system, noting that study visits of this kind help future civil servants better understand effective governance, public service delivery, and modern administrative practices. At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation thanked the Suthra Punjab Agency administration and commended its operational framework and digital management systems, reflecting a broader pattern of civil service training programs incorporating exposure to digitally managed public sector institutions as part of officer development.
