CITADEL Pakistan and AIgilityX are jointly hosting a Sovereign Artificial Intelligence Executive Briefing on June 15, 2026 at the National Incubation Centre Islamabad, bringing together senior executives, policymakers, technologists, and innovation leaders for a focused session on the strategic imperatives of Sovereign Artificial Intelligence at both the national and enterprise level.

The briefing is titled “Sovereign AI Leadership: The Next National and Enterprise Imperative” and is designed to convene forward-thinking leaders and subject matter experts to explore how nations and organisations can build and deploy Artificial Intelligence infrastructure that is self-directed, domestically governed, and aligned with national security and economic resilience objectives. The session will address Sovereign Artificial Intelligence as a driver of innovation and competitive advantage, a mechanism for strengthening digital resilience and national security, and a catalyst for enterprise-level transformation across sectors where Artificial Intelligence adoption is accelerating but governance frameworks remain underdeveloped.

The Chief Guest for the briefing is Air Vice Marshal Retired Asad Ikram, President of CITADEL Pakistan, whose background in national security and technology policy adds institutional weight to a discussion that sits squarely at the intersection of geopolitics, technology sovereignty, and economic strategy. The keynote speaker is Khurrum Ghori, Founder of AIgilityX and a practitioner in the field of Sovereign Artificial Intelligence architecture, who will bring a practitioner-level perspective on how organisations can design and operationalise Artificial Intelligence systems that retain data sovereignty and strategic autonomy rather than depending on external platforms and cloud infrastructure. The session runs from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM on June 15 at NIC Islamabad. Interested participants can register through the official registration link and access further event details at the event page.

about
CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
