The hearing was presided over by CCP Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu, and was attended by key representatives from PTCL, Telenor Pakistan, Orion Towers, and other stakeholders.

Senior Counsel Rahat Kaunain Hassan represented PTCL, highlighting the potential economic benefits and growth opportunities that the merger could bring to Pakistan. Hatem Bamatraf, President & Group CEO of PTCL, Robert Middlehurst, and PTCL’s senior management also shared their insights on the transaction.

M/s Wateen Telecom Limited, represented by Mian Sami-ud-Din, was given the opportunity to present its views on the merger.

The CCP’s Phase II Merger Review aims to assess the market share dynamics and potential risks of market concentration arising from the merger. The Commission encourages stakeholders to continue providing their input throughout the review process.
