The caretaker government has secured employment opportunities for 600 youth abroad through recent negotiations and agreements with international partners. Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conducted productive visits to Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and European countries, resulting in over 10,000 interviews and the selection of candidates for various international job positions.
Departures from major airports in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar saw individuals heading to Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Jawad Sohrab Malik stated this initiative is the beginning of a larger effort to create thousands of new job opportunities, with plans for 46 additional contracts.
He highlighted high demand for skilled labor in construction, health, engineering, IT, hospitality, and finance sectors. The success is attributed to joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, actively communicating with foreign employers.
Pakistan’s participation in international conferences, exhibitions, and joint meetings has led to agreements expected to reach 100 by week’s end.
