PR: Careem’s anthem starts with being generous, being ‘Careem’, and what better way to showcase this than support your own home-grown non-profits who are doing excellent work in the education and development side?

This Ramadan, Careem has partnered with The Citizen’s Foundation, enabling donations through the ride-hailing app to promote primary education in Pakistan.

Careem launched its “TCF” car type in Pakistan, allowing passengers to donate and facilitate access to quality education.

Selecting the TCF car option when booking through the App will add a fixed PKR 20 donation to each trip, which will be charged at the usual GO+ fare rate for Pakistan, with all funds raised going directly to TCF.

Customers can simply choose TCF car type, go on about their business in Ramzan and simply donate PKR 20 which will be added to their total fare. TCF car type will only be operational for Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad citizens.

In their own words, chalo let’s #BeCareem and ride for the nation’s future!

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
