Brillanz Group has announced a joint venture with Shanghai Phoenix Technology to bring large-scale hydrogen energy solutions and a significant crypto mining portfolio into Pakistan. The announcement was made in the presence of Pakistan’s Prime Minister, reflecting high-level support for the collaboration. Representatives from both organisations, including Mr. Fang, the largest shareholder of Phoenix, and Mr. Jerard, Chief Representative of Shanghai Phoenix, attended the meeting, underscoring the importance of the partnership in advancing new technology and infrastructure within the country.

Shanghai Phoenix Technology is recognised as a global leader in hydrogen energy, with proprietary Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolyzer technology. This includes the world’s largest single-tank deployment, enabling low-cost, off-grid hydrogen production at scale. By introducing its expertise to Pakistan, Phoenix aims to support the growth of clean energy production and provide new avenues for industrial and commercial use of hydrogen. The collaboration also highlights Phoenix’s presence in diverse technological fields, particularly its role in the crypto mining sector where it maintains over 2.2 gigawatts of deployments across Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Oman and the United States. This joint venture will now extend that mining portfolio to Pakistan, opening new opportunities for local infrastructure and employment.

Brillanz Group brings a proven track record of execution through its various ventures. Its company Infralectric has invested more than USD 20 million and deployed over 50 megawatt hours of storage across 2,500 telecom towers, supporting improved energy management in critical communications infrastructure. Brillanz also operates Thunder, an energy intelligence platform optimising over 13,000 sites and processing more than 460 million data points daily. By combining Brillanz’s operational experience with Phoenix’s technological leadership, the partnership aims to create a robust framework for the introduction of cutting-edge hydrogen and crypto infrastructure in Pakistan.

The joint venture symbolises a convergence of global technology leadership with Pakistan’s growing innovation ecosystem. By leveraging Phoenix’s expertise in clean energy and digital asset infrastructure alongside Brillanz’s execution capabilities, the partnership is positioned to accelerate the development of large-scale projects in the country. This includes not only advancing the adoption of hydrogen energy but also establishing a foundation for crypto mining infrastructure that meets international standards. With support from government stakeholders and the combined strength of both companies, the collaboration is set to expand opportunities for investment, technology transfer and skill development, aligning with Pakistan’s broader push for diversified and sustainable economic growth.
