Pakistan’s globally recognized Tekken champion Arslan Siddique, widely known as Arslan Ash, has relocated to Japan as he seeks to compete and train at the highest level of professional esports. Announcing the move on Instagram, Ash described the transition as a new chapter in his career, emphasizing his determination to challenge himself among the world’s top players while continuing to represent Pakistan internationally. He noted that professional esports careers are relatively short and said he is committed to giving his absolute best during this crucial phase of his journey.

Hailing from Lahore, Arslan Ash’s rise to global prominence is a story that began in local gaming arcades, where he first learned to play Tekken at the age of eight. Over the years, he has become one of the most decorated figures in competitive fighting games, consistently demonstrating technical precision and adaptability against elite opponents. His decision to move to Japan, a country with a deeply rooted and highly competitive fighting game community, signals his intent to further refine his skills in one of the most demanding esports environments in the world. Despite the relocation, Ash has reaffirmed his commitment to carrying Pakistan’s flag onto every international stage he competes on.

Ash most recently strengthened his legacy by securing his sixth Evolution Championship Series title at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas. Representing Twisted Minds, he defeated fellow Pakistani competitor Atif Butt in the Tekken 8 Grand Final, once again showcasing the depth of talent emerging from Pakistan’s fighting game scene. His EVO victories have become a defining feature of his career. He first captured international attention by winning the Tekken 7 title in Japan in 2019 and later claimed the Evolution Championship Series title in the United States the same year. In August 2022, he earned third place at EVO 2022, before returning to dominant form by winning the Tekken 7 competition at EVO Japan in April 2023 and securing his fifth EVO crown in July 2024.

Beyond EVO, Ash’s achievements span multiple premier tournaments. He is a CEO 2021 Champion and claimed the 2022 Combo Breaker Tekken 7 tournament title after defeating all ten of his opponents in the competition. His consistent performance across global events has led many in the esports community to regard him as the greatest Tekken player of all time. In recognition of his impact, ESPN named him the Best E-Player of 2019, further cementing his place in competitive gaming history. As he begins this new phase in Japan, Arslan Ash continues to embody Pakistan’s growing presence in international esports while striving to maintain his position at the pinnacle of professional Tekken competition.
