Apple TV appears to be in the process of rolling out in Pakistan, with users now able to pay for and successfully activate an Apple TV subscription using a Pakistani account. Sources confirmed they were able to subscribe to the service in Pakistan for 200 rupees per month, with the subscription going through successfully and Apple sending an official confirmation showing the active subscription, its monthly price and renewal details.
The Apple account settings also reflected the subscription as active at 200 rupees per month, with support for Family Sharing extending to up to five other people. However, other users attempting to sign up have reported that Pakistan does not yet appear in the country dropdown list during registration, suggesting the rollout may currently be limited or inconsistent depending on account settings or region detection at the time of sign up.
There is one major catch to the apparent rollout, Apple TV is still not directly accessible in Pakistan without using a VPN. With a VPN, users can open the service and browse the Apple TV catalog, including available movies and shows, but videos are currently not playing even though the subscription itself shows as active. This means the subscription and payment system appears to be active in Pakistan, while video streaming functionality has not yet been fully enabled.
The development suggests Apple TV may be in the early stages of becoming available in Pakistan, with the 200 rupee monthly subscription seemingly accessible ahead of full streaming functionality being switched on. Given the inconsistent sign up experience reported by different users, the exact status and timeline of a complete, functional rollout in Pakistan remains unclear for now.
