Federal government has made a significant administrative change within the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT). In a notification issued on Thursday, the Establishment Division appointed Ms. Aisha Humera Ch., a BS-21 officer, as the acting Secretary of the ministry.
Ms. Ch., who previously held the position of Additional Secretary at the MoITT, will assume the additional responsibilities of the Secretary’s role for a period of three months. Her tenure will continue until a permanent successor is appointed.
This development follows the recent removal of Captain (Retired) Muhammad Mehmood from the position of Secretary IT. The reasons for the removal have not been officially disclosed.
The appointment of Ms. Ch. marks a new chapter for the MoITT as she takes on the challenging task of leading the ministry during a period of transition. Her experience within the ministry is expected to facilitate a smooth handover and continuity of operations.
