The ACM Student Chapter at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore campus, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Envision Global Services to launch a year round series of live technology focused webinars aimed at connecting students with professionals from the industry. The chapter said the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real world industry practice, giving students more direct exposure to how the technology sector operates beyond the classroom.

Under the agreement, students at CUI Lahore will gain access to a structured programme of activities throughout the academic year, including direct interactions with industry experts, practical insights into emerging technologies, interactive question and answer sessions, and skill building workshops. The ACM chapter said the collaboration is intended to give students more consistent and ongoing exposure to industry professionals, rather than limiting such interactions to one off events, with the webinar series expected to run across the full academic calendar.

The partnership was developed through the efforts of the ACM CUI Lahore leadership team, including chapter President Muhammad Luqman, Vice President Ahmed Mohsin Nazir, and Director of Outreach Ayshum Butt, who worked to bring the collaboration together. The chapter also acknowledged the support of Sara Ahmad and Omair Tariq from Envision Global Services in helping establish the partnership, noting their role in providing the vision and backing needed to move the initiative forward.

The MoU reflects a broader pattern of academia and industry partnerships taking shape across Pakistan’s university campuses, as student led technology chapters increasingly look to formalise ties with private sector companies to give students more practical, industry aligned exposure. ACM CUI Lahore said further details on the specific webinar schedule and topics will be announced in the coming weeks, with the chapter encouraging students to stay connected for updates as the programme rolls out through the year.
