Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of JazzWorld and Chairman of Mobilink Bank, recently held a strategic discussion with Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank, focusing on accelerating inclusive growth in Pakistan. Central to the conversation was the role of digital and financial inclusion, particularly for women and underserved communities. Both leaders emphasized how digital infrastructure, when combined with smartphones, broadband connectivity, and digital payment solutions, can transform economic participation and create scalable opportunities across the country.

The discussion highlighted the practical framework for turning connectivity into meaningful economic impact. Trusted digital platforms, innovative solutions, and strategic partnerships were identified as key enablers to convert access into real outcomes, including job creation, skills development, and greater access to financial services. Leaders stressed that digital transformation should not be an abstract goal but a tool to improve everyday lives by linking technology investments to tangible opportunities for communities and small businesses.

Aamir Ibrahim underscored that affordable smartphones, broader adoption of digital payments, and support for small enterprises are critical factors in fostering inclusive economic growth. Both leaders agreed that the goal is to ensure technology supports how people work, learn, and earn, translating digital access into sustainable participation in the economy. The conversation emphasized that digital platforms must empower users to build capabilities, rather than merely offering connectivity.

Reaffirming JazzWorld’s commitment to inclusive growth, Aamir highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to develop platforms and partnerships designed to convert connectivity into capability. This aligns with JazzWorld’s vision of delivering a “Better Life For All,” leveraging digital infrastructure to drive economic empowerment, social impact, and broader participation in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
