Supernet Limited has appointed Jamal Nasir Khan as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Waseem Ahmad, according to a notification submitted by the company to Pakistan Stock Exchange. The disclosure stated that Waseem Ahmad ceased to serve as the Chief Executive Officer with effect from March 3, 2026, following which Jamal Nasir Khan assumed the leadership role at the company.

Supernet Limited operates as a nationwide provider of data connectivity and digital infrastructure services. Established in 1995, the company has expanded its operational footprint across more than 200 cities and towns in Pakistan. Over the years, it has positioned itself within the information technology and telecommunications services sector by offering connectivity solutions and infrastructure services to corporate and enterprise clients across the country.

The company has also strengthened its regulatory presence in recent years. In 2024, Supernet secured Fixed Local Loop licences for 14 regions from Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. These licences allowed the company to expand its telecom service delivery capabilities while strengthening its operational standing within the regulated telecommunications environment.

According to details available on the company website, Jamal Nasir Khan brings more than three decades of experience in the information technology, telecommunications, and cyber security sectors. Prior to joining Supernet, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Augere Pakistan, a wireless broadband telecommunications operator. His professional background includes extensive technical and executive management experience across service oriented technology industries.

In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Jamal Nasir Khan has also been associated with national level advisory and industry platforms. He served as a member of the National Advisory Board for Information Technology at the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications in Pakistan. He has also held the position of Chairman of the Technical Committee at Internet Service Provider Association of Pakistan, contributing to industry level discussions and policy related matters within the country’s digital and telecommunications landscape.
