Samsung has rolled out a refreshed version of its mobile Gaming Hub, aiming to make game discovery faster, more personalized, and more interactive for Galaxy device users. The update was highlighted during CES 2026 and represents a significant step for Samsung’s efforts to expand its footprint in mobile gaming. According to Jong Woo, VP of Game Services at Samsung, the updated Gaming Hub is designed to provide instant access to games through cloud streaming, removing friction for players who want to try Android-native titles without waiting for downloads. The hub now emphasizes new and emerging games, ensuring that players can explore fresh content tailored to their preferences.
The updated hub combines multiple features into a single space, storing all purchased games from both Google Play and the Galaxy Store. Users can access their game library, receive personalized recommendations, watch content from creators and streamers, and use cloud streaming for select titles. Samsung highlights that the previous version of the Gaming Hub mainly served as a tracking tool for purchased games, while the new iteration actively guides the mobile gaming experience. Woo emphasized that despite mobile gaming’s massive audience of over 160 million users across devices, discovery remains a challenge, with many players struggling to find content suited to their tastes.
One of the primary goals of the refreshed Gaming Hub is to build a more social and interactive experience for mobile gamers. By incorporating content from creators and streamers, Samsung hopes to foster a sense of community and make mobile gaming feel less solitary. The company is exploring additional social features that could enhance interactions between players and developers, creating a space that mirrors some aspects of PC and console platforms such as Steam or PlayStation Network. Woo noted that feedback from beta testing and focus groups has been instrumental in shaping the update, allowing Samsung to better understand player preferences and tailor recommendations on an individual level.
While the revamped Gaming Hub is currently limited to Galaxy smartphones and tablets, Samsung plans further updates in the future. Non-Galaxy users will continue using the previous version of the hub. With cloud streaming, curated content, and personalized recommendations, the update aims to address pain points in mobile game discovery and create a more engaging platform for players. By integrating social and interactive features alongside library management and instant play, Samsung hopes to position its Gaming Hub as a central destination for mobile gamers, providing tools and insights to explore new titles while connecting with the broader gaming community.
