More than 9.7 million citizens across Punjab have benefited from a wide range of government services through 15 e-Khidmat Centers established by the provincial government as part of its digital governance efforts. These centers have played a significant role in improving public service delivery by bringing district, provincial, and federal services under one roof. By reducing the need for citizens to visit multiple offices and wait in long queues, the initiative has enhanced convenience, efficiency, and accessibility for people seeking essential government facilitation.
The scale of service delivery was highlighted during a progress review meeting held at Arfa Software Technology Park, where PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf reviewed the performance and outreach of e-Khidmat Centers. According to figures shared during the meeting, more than 1.7 million citizens have availed postal services through these centers, reflecting strong demand for integrated service models. In addition, over 1.29 million divorce certificates have been issued, while more than 1.14 million driving licenses were processed through the same platform. CNIC-related services were accessed by over 919,000 citizens, demonstrating close coordination with NADRA-linked facilitation, while more than 856,000 e-Stamp Papers were issued. Information services also saw substantial usage, benefiting over 819,000 individuals across the province.
Currently, e-Khidmat Marakaz are offering 167 government services, covering a broad spectrum of citizen needs. These include the issuance of Character, Birth, Death, Marriage, and Divorce Certificates, Domicile documentation, Learner and Regular Driving Licenses, Vehicle Registration, and Token Tax payments. Additional services such as CNIC facilitation, NADRA e-Sahulat, Postal Services, Vehicle Ownership Transfer, Property Registration, Route Permits, e-Stamp Papers, and Arms Licenses are also available. The centers have been designed to provide a citizen-friendly environment, enabling individuals to access essential services efficiently without unnecessary procedural delays.
Speaking during the meeting, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated that e-Khidmat Centers are helping simplify administrative processes and reduce bureaucratic barriers that previously complicated access to public services. He noted that in the past, citizens were required to visit several government departments and navigate lengthy procedures for basic documentation and approvals. With the establishment of e-Khidmat Centers, these services are now consolidated, allowing citizens to complete their requirements more quickly and transparently. Faisal Yousaf added that the initiative reflects a shift toward citizen-centric governance, where technology is being used to improve service quality, accountability, and ease of access across Punjab.
