Pakistani government has implemented a new security measure, making biometric verification mandatory for all international passengers at airports across the country.
The Interior Ministry has directed Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to install biometric machines at international immigration counters to ensure effective screening of travelers. This initiative aims to prevent wanted suspects and absconders from entering or leaving the country.
Additionally, the government is working on the installation of E-gates at major airports. These electronic gates will streamline the boarding process for passengers by allowing them to bypass manual check-in and passport control.
The implementation of biometric verification and E-gates is expected to enhance security and improve the overall travel experience for passengers.
By adopting these advanced technologies, Pakistan is aligning its aviation sector with international standards and best practices.
