For the time ever a Pakistani startup has been selected for Google’s Launchpad accelerator program. VividTech is to represent Pakistan as it becomes part of the fifth batch.
VividTech is a startup that is aimed at improving the caller experience when put on hold by the service provider. It intends to replace the looped muzak with interactive and visual experiences.
The Google Launchpad accelerator program is a six-month program that selects growth-stage startups from emerging markets to help them build great products. It provides them equity-free support, mentoring, two-week training at Google’s headquarters in Silicon Valley, and close partnership with Google for three months.
Bangladesh is also one of the countries who made it to the list for the accelerator program for the first time. Overall, 10 startups that belong to the Asia-Pacific region will be present at the program.
