REDRETAIL (a joint venture between the REDtone Group and iDMission LLC) and 1LINK recently announced an agreement to facilitate bill payments in Pakistani retail outlets.

REDRETAIL will assume the position of bill originator under the terms of the agreement, using 1LINK’s Bill Payment Service (BPS), which is home to over 1,000 billers and allows businesses to collect fixed/invoice-based and variable/top-up payments.

Pakistan’s economic policies are causing the country to grow quickly in terms of financial inclusion. Consumers will be able to pay their bills for all billers on the 1LINK Bill Payment platform, including utility bills, education fees, and government-associate expenses, as a result of this agreement.

This will provide consumers with greater convenience and accessibility by increasing the number of ways they can pay their bills at their leisure.

“With Pakistan, what we’ve seen is a market ripe for financial inclusion and on-demand serviceability,” said Mahnoor Nadeem, CEO of REDtone Digital Services. Our partnership with 1LINK assures that we can provide disruptive services to customers right in their own neighbourhood.”

“1LINK is thrilled to join with REDRETAIL to enable retailers to collect invoices via 1LINK BPS,” stated Najeeb Agrawalla, CEO of 1LINK. Customers nowadays want easy ways to interact with and manage their finances on a regular basis. Under the REDRETAIL programme, retailers will be able to empower customers.
