YouTube is set to streamline the process of dubbing videos in different languages by leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI). In a partnership with Aloud, an AI-powered dubbing service, YouTube will introduce a tool that offers automatic transcription, which can be reviewed and edited. This transcription will then be utilized for translation and dubbing purposes.
According to Amjad Hanif from YouTube, the platform has already conducted tests on this feature with a considerable number of creators. Currently, Aloud supports a limited number of languages, including English, Portuguese, and Spanish, but more languages are expected to be added in the future.
YouTube aims to enhance the quality of translated audio tracks by making them sound like the original creator’s voice, with improved expression and lip synchronization, Hanif added.
This convenient dubbing tool is expected to benefit the growing community of YouTube creators, enabling them to easily dub their videos and expand their viewership worldwide.
