Young Spikes Digital Competition 2019

With the growth of digitalization in mind, the Pakistan Advertisers Society is organizing the Young Spikes Digital Competition that will challenge teams to create Social Media Campaign in 24 hours.

With the prominence and growth of digitalization in the country, it has become necessary for the IT sector to invest in digital media and policy for the sector to thrive further. In one of the recent attempts in this cause, Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) in association with Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) and The Jang Media Group, Official Festival Representative of Spikes Asia are organizing the Young Spikes Digital Competition.

The Young Spikes Digital Competition 2019 is a nation-wide competition that invites professionals under the age of 30 participate and challenge teams to create an integrated Social Media Campaign in 24 hours.  The event will start on the 4th September and the winners will be announced on the 6th. Moreover, the winning team will also be given a once in a life time opportunity to represent Pakistan and compete on an international level against other national winners from other countries at the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity in Singapore on 25th of September 2019.

During the event, the registered teams will attend a live briefing by the NGO/partner who set the competition brief who will only be revealed when the competition begins. Once the briefing is done, teams will be given 24 hours to develop a digital campaign leveraging a maximum of three social media platforms. Once the top 10 teams are shortlisted, each team will have 10 minutes to present their campaign idea followed by a Q&A session with the jury. The team with the best campaign which showcases how effective technology can be used in collaboration with social media to cater to the client’s criteria will be declared the winner of the competition.

The criteria for the event is that the contestants need to be 30 years or younger at the time of the competition and need to work either for an advertising/digital agency or as a freelance consultant in the department relevant to the competition. Also, brand and agency can also form a team. The charges for the competition are PKR 35,000 + Tax for team and PKR 30,000 + tax for more than one.
