X has introduced The X Subscription, a unified membership that brings together its social media platform’s premium features, Grok artificial intelligence tools and the AI-powered coding assistant Cursor under a single subscription. The new offering consolidates services that were previously available through separate plans, giving users access to AI chat, content generation, coding assistance and selected premium social media features through one membership. The subscription includes Grok for text-based conversations, voice interactions, image generation and video creation, while Grok Bot provides AI agents designed to help users carry out tasks. Cursor adds coding agents that operate locally and in the cloud, supporting developers working on software projects. Depending on the selected tier, users also receive X Premium benefits, including a verification checkmark, creator tools and reduced advertising. Higher-priced plans provide additional benefits, with the most expensive options removing advertisements from the X timeline entirely. The company is positioning the subscription as a way to bring its growing range of AI and social networking products into one connected service.

The subscription is available through five tiers: Free, Plus, Premium, Super and Ultra. The Free plan costs nothing and provides limited access to Grok and a starter allowance for Cursor’s coding agents, alongside standard X features. Plus costs $8 per month and offers increased AI usage, a verification checkmark, creator tools and fewer advertisements. Premium is priced at $30 per month, while Super costs $100 and Ultra is available for $200 per month. Each higher tier provides a larger allowance for using the company’s AI models across supported products. According to the company, Premium offers four times the included usage of Plus, Super provides 15 times the Plus allowance, and Ultra offers 50 times that amount. The $30 Premium plan combines benefits previously associated with SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+, which the company valued at approximately $90 per month when purchased separately. The bundled structure is intended to simplify subscription management while allowing users to access several services without maintaining multiple independent memberships. Actual benefits and usage limits depend on the plan selected.

A central feature of The X Subscription is a shared weekly AI usage allowance across Grok and Cursor. Instead of having completely separate allocations for the two products, subscribers can direct their included usage toward whichever service best fits their needs. For example, a developer who spends more time writing and reviewing code can use a greater portion of the allowance in Cursor, while someone focused on AI conversations or content generation can use more of it through Grok. Unused allocation in one product remains available to the other, and the allowance refreshes weekly. The company also says each subscription tier includes at least twice as much coding usage with its own AI models as the comparable previous Cursor plan. However, access to third-party models, including Claude and GPT, remains subject to separate charges in Cursor on Premium and higher tiers. That usage is billed at applicable API list prices through prepaid credits or top-ups rather than being included in the shared allowance. Users therefore need to consider their coding requirements and reliance on external AI models when comparing plans. The new structure combines several services, but it does not mean every AI model or usage type is unlimited under one monthly payment.

The unified subscription also covers teams and enterprise customers, extending the arrangement beyond individual users. Team customers can select Premium, Super or Ultra plans at the same stated per-seat prices as individual subscriptions. Business-oriented features include single sign-on, administrative controls, consolidated billing, usage analytics and SOC 2 compliance. Enterprise customers can manage Grok and Cursor through a central dashboard and use a shared allowance across both services. Existing subscribers to SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium do not have to switch immediately, as their current plans, prices and features remain available for now. Eligible users can move to The X Subscription through their account billing settings as the option becomes available, with unused subscription time eligible for a prorated refund when switching. The company has said there is no fixed timeline for moving all remaining customers to the new arrangement and that advance notice will be provided before any mandatory changes. The rollout is taking place gradually, with availability and migration options depending on individual accounts. By bringing AI assistance, software development tools and social media features together, X is seeking to make its wider product ecosystem easier to access while encouraging users to consolidate their digital subscriptions.
