The song ever since its release has been a fan favorite all over the world and has become the first local video to hit a record of 200 million views on YouTube.
Momina, along with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took to Instagram and thanked the listeners for their love and support through a video. The post read, “Thank you everyone for your love and support! Afreen becomes the first song in Pakistan to cross 200 million views.” Furthermore, they also thanked CokeStudio, Strings and Javed Akhtar, who penned the lyrics for this version of the song.
