Almost everyone grew up watching and reading the Harry Potter series and the love for the franchise is certainly global and therefore Pakistanis are not far when it comes to expressing their love for the series.
Over the past, Pakistanis have shown their love for Harry Potter by setting up themed cafes in Islamabad to making the merchandise available for the fans. However, one group called Khayaali Productions has decided to take their love further and is all set to create a fan film based on the book, the film is to be called: Harry Potter and the Resurrection of Voldemort that is all set to be released this year.
Khayaali Productions founded in 2015, is a Lahore based production house that creates short films, music videos, and advertisements.
The producers haven’t released the plot yet and the trailer is expected to out soon. All one knows is that the story is to continue after the events that take place in the original series. The Pakistani production will hint at the major events that have taken place in the series along with mentions of the major characters.
It is to be noted that the film is a non-profit, non-commercial project that is intended only for fans. As for the actors, it is said that the film will feature new faces from the Pakistani television industry such as Umar Darr from ARY Digital’s ‘Lashkara’, Sheikh Mubashir of Hum TV’s ‘Dar Si Jati Hai Sila’, and Jazib Akram.
