GDG Islamabad To Host Women Techmakers Conference

In order to give women the recognition they deserve for being the changemakers and trendsetters they are in the modern world today, Google Developer Group (GDG) is to organize the Women Techmakers event in Islamabad on 13th April 2019.

The aim of the Women Techmakers event is to celebrate the achievements of women in the tech community by sharing stories of female designers, developers and technology entrepreneurs. The event is open to women from all walks of life and will allow them to not only socialize but also find like-minded people and inspire others.

The event is to consists of workshops and mentoring sessions such as: A technical workshop on Google Cloud Essentials; #IamRemarkable workshop, an initiative by Google for empowering women and underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. The lead trainer of this workshop will be Huma Mobin; along with a  Networking Brunch and several lighting talks consisting of amazing speakers who will be sharing their life journey with everyone

A panel discussion on Balance for Better is also to take place, where Obaidullah Khawaja, Head of Digital Partnerships and Bizdev at Telenor Pakistan; Saif Arshad, Director at S&P Global; Humna Raza, Dentist & Blogger, will be joining as panelist along with others. Makkiya Jawed is to be the moderator for the panel.

The event is all set to be organized at the Telenor 345 office in Islamabad. The registrations of the event are now open.
