Technology has rapidly changed from what it was a decade ago. At that point in time, companies were looking towards the big and bold which was spearheaded by the revolutionary launch of the first ever iPhone. As companies from that point onwards started releasing phones of bigger size and added features, Zanco, a UK based company, have done the exact opposite and have launched the world’s smallest phone.

This new phone is dubbed as the Zanco T1 and is the smallest phone ever assembled. Its dimensions are only 1.98 x 0.8 x 0.5 inches. This size is smaller than the average size of a thumb of an adult. Its screen is a meager 0.49-inch screen and the total device weighs up to only 13grams.

The only thing that this phone lacks in is that it can not be used for internet browsing purposes and rightfully so. It can be used to make normal phone calls and send and receive text messages. The phone works on a 200-mAh battery which can be charged through micro USB and can work for 3 days conveniently with a talk time of 180 minutes. The design was specifically made to accomplish the most fundamental uses of any cellular device which it does quite conveniently which can also work for exercise and sporting purposes such as running or cycling etc where carrying a device may seem like a drag.

Shazad Talib created the idea of the Zanco Tiny T1. Ideally designed to be the perfect backup phone for any user, where a user does not feel comfortable using their valuable phones, so this can act as a good alternative and stay connected at the same time. However, the phone has not been out for sale and the company required several funding from other sources in order to properly release the phone. It has also caught the eye of several policy makers who are skeptical of its use as individuals in prison can smuggle it with themselves.
