Wafi Tameer has officially opened applications for the 12th Tameer Awards 2025, a platform designed to recognize and support young innovators from across Pakistan. Since its launch, the Tameer Awards have highlighted 194 entrepreneurs who went on to scale their ventures, and 19 of them have collectively secured more than PKR 14 million in international grants. The initiative continues to provide a pathway for aspiring innovators to turn their concepts into viable businesses while receiving support that extends beyond financial assistance. With this year’s program, the awards aim to inspire a new wave of entrepreneurial talent committed to tackling pressing challenges and creating sustainable impact.

The Tameer Awards 2025 are open to Pakistani nationals aged between 20 and 35 who have either an operational startup or a prototype-ready idea that aligns with the program’s thematic areas. Applicants can select from six award categories that reflect diverse sectors of innovation and development. Clean Energy focuses on solutions such as access to energy, off-grid models, efficient energy distribution, and clean technologies. Bright Ideas seeks early-stage innovators with compelling concepts at the prototype stage, while Circular Economy emphasizes ventures that reduce waste, introduce sustainable packaging, and improve environmental quality. The Empowering Women category celebrates businesses that uplift women and expand gender equality opportunities, aiming to improve socio-economic standards. Technology Innovation recognizes digital and smart solutions that transform traditional practices in areas such as medicine, education, and commerce, while Transportation and Mobility highlights low-carbon transport models and shared mobility solutions designed to address environmental and social impacts of conventional systems.

Applications are now live and can be submitted through the official portal at Wafi Tameer Awards Application. Candidates are required to complete the online form by October 5, ensuring all mandatory fields are filled accurately. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the Wafi Tameer team to confirm participation in the competition. The schedule includes announcing the finalists on October 7, followed by pitch preparation sessions from October 8 to 19. The awards night, where participants will present their projects before a jury, is set for October 28, with the venue to be announced closer to the date. This timeline allows participants ample opportunity to refine their pitches under the guidance of mentors and experts.

Wafi Tameer has designed the program to offer more than recognition. Finalists will benefit from cash prizes, international expert coaching, business networking opportunities with industry leaders, and extensive media visibility. Additionally, travel and accommodation will be arranged for those coming from outside Karachi, ensuring equal access for innovators from different regions of the country. With its long-standing track record of supporting startups, the Tameer Awards continue to serve as a launchpad for young Pakistanis to bring forward their ideas, demonstrate their impact, and secure meaningful support for growth. As the 12th edition unfolds, the initiative reinforces its position as one of the leading entrepreneurship awards in Pakistan, motivating the next generation to build solutions that resonate locally and globally.
