To mark its fifth anniversary, Viture has released not one but two new devices designed to make smartglasses more comfortable and easier to wear. Starting at $299, the Viture Pro 2 serves as the centerpiece of the launch, weighing just 63 grams to become the company’s lightest smartglasses to date, while also coming in 16 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than the original Pro model that preceded it.

To achieve a snug but relaxed fit, the glasses include upgraded temple padding, a wider range of nosepad adjustments, and an included lens shade as a standard accessory rather than an optional extra. Beyond comfort, a major focus for this model was eye strain, which led the company to develop what it calls its UltraClarity 3.0 technology. This includes higher peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits alongside a smoother field curvature design intended to produce more natural looking virtual displays with reduced eye fatigue during extended use. The glasses also feature a built in diopter with individual adjustment for each eye, ranging from 0 to negative 5.00D, allowing users to fine tune the visual output to match their own eyesight, with Viture claiming this adjustment range can even allow some nearsighted users to skip custom prescription inserts entirely. By tuning the gamma curve on the glasses’ Sony made micro-OLED displays, the company also says it has achieved more accurate and lifelike color reproduction compared to its earlier models.

On the specification side, the Pro 2 offers a larger 50 degree field of view, up from 46 degrees on the previous model, while maintaining the same 1920 by 1080 resolution per eye and 120Hz refresh rate carried over from its predecessor. It is worth noting that because the Pro 2 relies on birdbath style optics rather than the thinner waveguide displays used by some competitors, it will not be as visually sleek as those alternatives, and it also requires a wired USB-C connection to a smartphone, laptop, or similar device to display content, meaning it is not designed to compete directly with more social media oriented alternatives like Meta’s Ray-Ban Display Glasses or Samsung’s upcoming Android XR glasses.

To simplify connecting external devices to the Pro 2, Viture has also introduced a more compact Mobile Dock Mini, priced separately at $99. At around 250 grams, the dock is 34 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than its previous version, while still including a built in 10,000mAh battery to keep both the connected device and the glasses charged during use. For gamers specifically, the dock supports the Nintendo Switch 2 and includes a detachable magnetic adapter that can be used as a standalone hub, allowing the handheld console to connect to a regular TV or monitor when the glasses themselves are not in use. Both the Viture Pro 2 and Mobile Dock Mini are available directly from Viture at their respective $299 and $99 price points, with buyers who purchase both together as part of the company’s fifth anniversary collection able to save an additional $20, bringing the combined price down to $378.
