CokeFest is virtual this year

Starting Friday, event will feature performances by Ali Noor, Shamoon Ismail and Natasha Baig among others

LAHORE:

This month, Pakistan’s first festival of digital music is taking place. The CokeFest 2020 three-day event is expected to go live from 20 November to 22 November, a press release said.

Speaking of Pakistani rapper Kaky Thou$and to the ethereal Natasha Baig, participants will experience a number of performances. Visually disabled British Got Talent singer Sirine Jahangir will also be featured in the line-up, accompanied by Shamoon Ismail, SomeWhatSuper, Young Stunners, ESharp, Abdullah Siddiqui and XPolymer Dar. Veteran rock star Ali Noor will bring the festival to a close with a bang.

The annual festival will take the form of a disruptive streaming experience for music fans around the country in the midst of the pandemic, which has brought a stop to live concerts and large public gatherings. It will be carried out in partnership with Patari, the leading online music streaming site in Pakistan, and Tapmad, the on-demand video network.

Free for all, however, viewers are expected to register on the music streaming app to attend the festival, followed by signing up for the event. This will give them a unique code that should allow them to stream performances on Tapmad.
